Timothy M. McEntee
Managing Director, Multifamily Development at Dakota Pacific Real Estate Partners
Tim McEntee is responsible for building, leading, and managing all aspects of the firm’s multifamily ground-up development program. A member of the executive team, Tim has responsibility for the program through the full project lifecycle, including sourcing development sites, overseeing design and construction teams, and providing oversight to asset management teams handling lease-up and operations.
Prior to joining Dakota Pacific, Tim was Managing Director and Partner for the Colorado, Utah, and Chicago operations of Wood Partners. In this role he provided leadership for the company’s significant expansion in metro Denver, and new markets Chicago and Salt Lake City. Tim completed 10 multifamily communities with Wood in Colorado, and was responsible for three high-rise projects in Chicago and a mid-rise development in Salt Lake City. Total cost capitalization with Wood over 11 years was $1.2B.
Previous experience includes Controlling Principal of Hibernia Holdings, a multifamily development entity in Denver that also developed small commercial and retail projects. Before that, Tim was with JPI where he completed the development of over 8,000 multifamily units in seven states with a market capitalization in excess of $1B. Tim began his multifamily career with Trammel Crow Residential in Atlanta and subsequently Denver. He was inducted into the Apartment Association of Metro Denver Hall of Fame in 2017.
Tim also served eight years on active duty in the US Army, commanding Infantry and Special Forces units and attaining the rank of Captain. Tim graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in History and a degree from the university’s Honors College. He also earned an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
